Box Tops
Box tops earn about $1000-$1500 of free money every year for our school. This is a really easy volunteer position and should only take you a few minutes a month. It can be done at home or at school. Details are below.
Box Tops Classroom Coordinator Responsibilities
Collection Instructions:
1. Collect Box Tops from classroom collection envelope monthly. You can do that now but I will send out a reminder email in the future. Each teacher was given a Box Top envelope to post. If there is not an envelope in your classroom you may check with your teacher or let me know if another is needed.
2. Discard any expired Box Tops and those that have had the expiration date torn off.
3. IMPORTANT: Include 50 Box Tops per zip lock bag and write the teachers name and the number “50” on the bag. The Box Tops don't have to be perfectly trimmed, but if there is a lot of excess some trimming makes it easier to fit them in the bag and reduces our postage costs. Please do not put more than 50 box tops in any Ziploc.
4. If you have less than 50, put them in a bag with a slip of paper with the teacher's name and number of Box Tops in that bag.
5. “Bonus Box Tops” are counted separately and should be submitted in their own bag with a slip of paper with the teacher's name written on it. Do not mix bonus box tops and regular box tops in the same Ziploc.
6. Put your bags in the Box Tops Collection Box in the workroom near the door (It's a clear container with white lid labeled Box Tops).
7. If available, help with popcorn parties 2 times during the school year (November and May).
Thanks for your help and please email me if you have any questions. Also, you may take a look at www.boxtops4education.com for more information about the program.
Warm Regards,
Ting (Box Tops Coordinator)
