Blossom Hill Elementary Home & School Club

The Blossom Hill Home & School Club (HSC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, run entirely by volunteers, that supports the students, teachers, administrators and families at Blossom Hill School. Our goal is to enhance the learning experience of all of the more than 500 students in grades TK-5 at Blossom Hill School. Every parent/guardian with a student enrolled at Blossom Hill Elementary is a valued part of the HSC Community.

Our Mission is to support students, teachers, and families to enhance learning, strengthen community, and make every Blossom Hill experience exceptional.

Event Details

  • When: The evening before the first day of school
  • Time: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
  • Location: The Daves Avenue Blacktop
  • Cost: Free! Sweet treats are proudly provided courtesy of the HSC.

What Happens at the Ice Cream Social?

  • Sweet Treats: Cool down with a complimentary ice cream or popsicle treat while hanging out on the blacktop.
  • Reconnect & Make New Friends: See familiar faces after the summer break and welcome our newest Cool Cat families to the community.
  • Classroom Sneak Peeks: Take a walk through campus to find your child’s new classroom! Peeking through the windows helps students visualize their first morning, making the official day-one drop-off much smoother.

Volunteer Roles

To make this night a true celebration of innovation, we need an awesome team behind the scenes to manage the logistics and keep the exhibition hall running smoothly. If you love seeing kids get excited about STEM, we have a perfect role for you.

  • Event Lead(s): Work with the HSC board to oversee the big-picture planning, coordinate the timeline, and ensure the event is a success from start to finish.
  • Logistics Coordinator: Coordinate the distribution of display boards, map out the exhibition space, assign project numbers.
  • Day-Of Set Up: Help transform the space into a world-class science hall by setting up display tables, hanging signage, and prepping the venue before families arrive.
  • Break Down & Clean Up: Help leave our campus looking spotless at the end of the evening.
