Explore Our Programs
Pottery
The Pottery Program gives Blossom Hill students the opportunity to explore their creativity through hands-on clay projects during the school year. Parent volunteers help prepare materials, assist students during classroom projects, support glazing and finishing, and help with the behind-the-scenes work needed to bring each creation to life.
This popular program gives students a fun way to express themselves while learning about the creative process.
Event Leads
Event Leads play an important role in bringing Blossom Hill’s school events and traditions to life. These volunteers help coordinate planning, organize logistics, recruit additional volunteers, and oversee activities leading up to and during each event.
From community gatherings to fundraisers and family events, Event Leads help create memorable experiences for students and families. Many of these events depend on volunteers stepping forward to lead the way.
Fun Fridays
Fun Fridays volunteers help make recess and lunch periods more engaging by providing students with organized games, activities, and creative opportunities.
Volunteers may help with everything from arts and crafts and board games to playground activities that encourage students to participate, connect with classmates, and enjoy their time together in a welcoming environment.
Staff Appreciation
The Staff Appreciation Team helps show appreciation for the teachers and staff who support Blossom Hill students every day.
Volunteers help coordinate staff luncheons, appreciation activities, holiday gatherings, and other special occasions throughout the school year. It is a wonderful way to help recognize the people who contribute so much to the Blossom Hill community.
Lead a Club or After-School Program
Have a hobby, skill, or activity you would love to share with Blossom Hill students? Parents and community members are encouraged to help lead or organize clubs and after-school programs.
Opportunities may include academic programs, running clubs, scouting groups, chess, art, drama, or other activities that give students new ways to learn, create, and connect outside the classroom. The HSC can help guide volunteers through the process of getting a new program started.
Library
Library volunteers help keep the Blossom Hill library organized, welcoming, and ready for students.
Volunteers may assist with shelving books, organizing materials, helping with special reading activities, and supporting students as they discover new books and resources. Their involvement helps create an environment that encourages curiosity and a lifelong love of reading.
Project Cornerstone
Project Cornerstone is a community-based program designed to help students build strong character, healthy relationships, and important social-emotional skills.
Volunteer ABC Readers visit classrooms to share selected stories and lead age-appropriate discussions around topics such as kindness, empathy, respect, responsibility, inclusion, and standing up for others. These classroom conversations help strengthen a positive and supportive school community.
Room Parent
Room Parents help strengthen communication and connection between teachers, families, and the classroom community.
Throughout the year, Room Parents may help coordinate volunteers, organize classroom celebrations, support special projects, share important updates, and assist teachers with classroom needs. Their involvement helps families stay connected and engaged in their child’s school experience.
Safe Routes to School
Safe Routes to School promotes safe and responsible ways for students and families to travel to and from Blossom Hill.
Volunteers help encourage walking, biking, carpooling, and other safe transportation options while raising awareness of pedestrian and bicycle safety. The program supports efforts to make arrival and dismissal safer and more efficient for the entire school community.
STEAM Lab Lunch
STEAM Lab Lunch gives students opportunities to explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through engaging hands-on activities during lunch periods.
Parent volunteers help students with projects, encourage experimentation and creative thinking, and support an environment where students can explore new ideas while having fun.
Yearbook
The Yearbook team helps capture the moments, traditions, and memories that make each school year special.
Parent volunteers may contribute photographs, help organize content, assist with page layouts, and support the production process. Together, the team creates a keepsake that students and families can enjoy for years to come.
