INTRODUCTION FROM ROOM PARENTS COMMITTEE
We have quite a bit of information for you in this flyer, so please be sure to read it completely and let us know if you have any questions.

If you would like a different email or an additional email added to the room parent distribution list (i.e., spouse’s email, etc.) or one removed, please let us know.

ROOM PARENTS:
The main responsibilities of room parents include:
  • Forwarding important information/reminders to the class from the Home and School Club
  • Coordinating/purchasing class gifts for the teacher throughout the year (i.e. birthday gift, holiday gift, teacher appreciation day gift and end-of-year gift)
  • Coordinating submission of pictures provided by parents to the yearbook
  • Coordination of class volunteers for various school and class events if we return to in person school and conditions allow.
CLASS FUND:
We are asking each family for a suggested donation of $20 to $30 for our class fund. The money collected for this fund will go towards the purchase of class gifts for the teacher as noted above and for class celebrations if we are able to return to school. The class gift will be in lieu of individual families providing gifts on their own. Donations in any amount are appreciated, and all families’ names will be included on every class gift regardless of donation amount.

ONE COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER: Together we are stronger.
This year LGEF, Music Boosters, and our five Home & School Clubs (Blossom Hill, Daves Avenue, Lexington, Van Meter and Fisher) have joined together to consolidate back-to-school fundraising into a single campaign. Your contribution goes directly to your school to fund vital programs and essential staff. We have simply streamlined the process to make it easier for you to donate once. Our goal is 100% participation by all families - more than ever your school needs your support. Please visitwww.onecommunitylg.org to learn more and to make a contribution today.

BEST WAYS TO STAY INFORMED:
  • BEEHIVE WEEKLY NEWSLETTER – Be sure to check out our school’s weekly newsletter, The Beehive, to stay completely up-to-date and informed of current happenings at Blossom Hill.  The Beehive Newsletter is sent out every Wednesday via email.  You can also access current issues of The Beehive anytime on Blossom Hill School’s website.
  • HOME & SCHOOL CLUB WEBSITE – You will find all Home & School Club related information here http://hsc.blossomhill.org
  • HOME & SCHOOL CLUB QUARTERLY MEETINGS – All are welcome and encouraged to attend!  Principal Reynolds along with the H&SC Board and Committee Chairs discuss important school issues and upcoming events as well as provide H&SC fundraising updates and budget reviews. The first H&SC meeting of the school year is on Wednesday, September 23rd at 8:00am via Zoom. Check future Beehives for additional information once we get closer. Hope to see you there!

NO COST GIVING: Help support our school by participating in simple, year-round fundraising programs such as Amazon Smile, Box Tops, eScrip, and more. Details for all of these programs can be found herehttps://hsc.blossomhill.org/no-cost-giving.html. Sign up today and support Blossom Hill!

SPIRIT WEAR: We have an online store for Blossom Hill spirit wear this year. Please visit https://www.rokkitwear.com/school/55867-blossom-hill-home-school-club to check out all that is available and order.

That’s it for now!  We look forward to working with you to make this year a truly wonderful year for our children. Please feel free to contact your room parents with any questions!
